Quinn O’Connell is a Washington D.C. based artist whose paintings explore the meeting place between heaven and earth—where the visible world gestures toward what lies beyond.
The quiet force within my work arises from a process guided equally by image and material—where collages of nature are shaped through a tactile and spiritual sensibility. Working primarily in oils, I incorporate natural beeswax and pumice to echo the rawness of earth through the surface.
Influenced by the luminous colors and elemental abstractions of Transcendentalist painters, I pursue compositions that open into wonder and contemplation. Leaves, petals, and stems unfurl through formative chaos, their edges dissolving as pigments spread to fill the canvas with the vitality of nature’s expanse. My practice intentionally reflects divine Creation, transforming potential into form and presence.
